In this post, I’m spotlighting the stagecoach featured in Quentin Tarantino's The Hateful Eight. With limited reference material available, despite having rewatched the film numerous times, some details were consistently obscured by specific camera angles. Therefore, to complete the model, I drew additional inspiration from the iconic Wells Fargo stagecoaches while still prioritizing fidelity to the original design.
I meticulously recreated the “BUTTERFIELD OVERLAND CO.” logo, modifying the Times New Roman font, and hand-painted the bison and acanthus leaves. To match the film’s mood, I used natural lighting with an HDRI of a snowy environment and conducted a small studio test with warm lights for added contrast.
